I am an exposed blunder...
It sucks when you embarass yourself, I do it all the time, but one never gets used to it, I guess....
The wonder that is people
People never cease to amaze me, good or bad:
I try to remain generally optimistic about people, and I still am usually, but I have come to the dismaying conclusion that there are a lot of haters in the world..there just are. It's a sad fact to fact, but there are indeed people out there who just refuse to see the goodness in others. I mean, yeah, it could easily be turned around and say that some people are completely blind and cannot see that some people are not as good as they seem, but that's another topic...and I'm not talking about that right now. But it's really unfortunate that some people will never get to know others because of things that they've "heard" or just plain old assumptions. In addition to that, there is just a general environment out there that people don't want to see others happier than they are. I really don't know where this is going(probably nowhere, as usual), but it just really bugs me. I think people like to pass judgment on other people far too often. Personally, I don't think it's ANYONE's place to judge other people. So easy to point out what's wrong w/ other people and put them down...and most of us don't even realize we're doing it..that's even sadder. Haters...and I am too, cuz I hate those people...
And of course, just as one comes to the conclusion that the world is not a good place, God hands you a surprise and makes you think otherwise. I went to the gas station this morning and as I handed in my cash, the guy behind the counter(Kim) asked me how pop was doing. Naturally, I was taken aback by him asking, and I told him he was fine. He pressed on and asked if he was getting better and I told him, yes, he is getting better and he said, well he hopes to see him soon. People still care, there is genuine concern and sincerity stilll out there...I like those people...they restore my faith in humanity.
Appreciations

-Late night coffee(decaf...hey it's a weekday)
